La fiducia. Che cosa e' questa fiducia? La fiducia e' forse credere in una cosa o una persona e dire okay oppure no. Quante volte al giorno si puo' dare la fiducia? E poi si puo' cambiare da un momento all'altro. Questa arancia e' rossa. No, e' gialla. Forse ora e' verde e domani sara' marro'. Una proposta deve esser fatta per cambiare i termini della fiducia. Si da' la fiducia una volta al mese o ogni sei mesi? Oppure una volta all'anno. Io certamente non ho fiducia di nessuno quando si tratta di politica perche' quando vedo che tutto questo e' una messa in scena, mi dico a me stesso: Questa e' una perdita di tempo non solo per l'Italia ma per tutti i telespettatori di tutto il mondo. Non si puo' dare avanti cosi' giocando e non producendo. Il problema non e' Berlusconi oppure Bersani, o Fini e neanche Casini. Il problema sono tutti quanti che vogliano giocare con la fiducia. Se e' cosi', e' meglio giocare a scacchi e giocare con la morte di una nazione che non ha imparato che cosa e' la vera democrazia e che cosa significa
il rispetto per gli altri.

While the mayor of New York City Mike Bloomberg is trying to find ways to make revenue on New York residents, he should sit down and think about out of state registered vehicles who reside in New York City. New Jersey, Connecticut, Aloha State, Nevada, Florida were the ones I have seen this week. They are on Northern Boulevard, Astoria Boulevard and Ditmars Boulevard.They are also the ones that may speed a little, blow red lights and run through a stop sign. Who cares? Their registration is from out of state but they may reside here in New York
City for months or perhaps years. Even though they may reside here with friends or
relatives disguising their whereabouts to law enforcement and authorities, something

Il goleador bomber della Nazionale, Antonio Cassano ha avuto stamani un intervento per la riparazione di un buco al cuore. L'intervento ha avuto esito positivo e il giocatore potra' giocare di nuovo tra sei mesi. Antonio Cassano non gioco' nello scorso campionato mondiale perche' Lippi aveva un odio contro il giocatore barese. Cassano arruolato dal nuovo allenatore Prandelli ha trascinato la squadra italiana ai primi in classifica per la qualificazione dei Mondiali 2014 in Brasile.

BERLUSCONI VINCE VOTO DI FIDUCIA (CONFIDENZA), CONTINUA A GOVERNARE

Berlusconi e' riuscito a manovrarsi fuori da un altro problema superando un ennesimo voto di fiducia ( di confidenza come dicono in inglese). " Il governo continuera' a governare fino al termine del mandato. Per l'opposizione e' tempo di prepararsi per le prossime elezioni e di portare sul tavolo nuove soluzioni plausibili per migliorare l'Italia. Siamo in un mondo che necessita economisti, non politici che non sanno contare." dice FPG. Berlusconi non e' un economista ma un uomo d'affari, pero' ha saputo portare una cosa che manacava in Italia e quella era la stabilita' di un governo. L'Italia era sempre condizionata da governi con coalizioni fragili e ribaltoni. " Vogliamo governi che durano il loro mandato che posson lasciare la maggioranza con la responsabilita' di governare. I PROBLEMI DI SILVIO BERLUSCONI CONTINUANO CON L'AUSTERITY

I problemi di Berlusconi continuano a mettere pressione su di lui. L'ennesima sono le misure per il tagliare il deficit italiano. L'Italia ha rischiato grosso con il debito con il mercato che ha svalutato i suoi buoni fruttiferi, L'Europa e' entrato,il mese scorso, comprando questi Buoni del Tesoro. Le misure di austerity sono pesanti. Tagli in molti settori e aumenti di tasse sono necessari per controllare questo escalation del deficit italiano dice FPG. Pero', il governo italiano ha dovuto cedere un po' su queste misure perche' temeva gli scioperi eccessivi e le proteste degli italiani. La CGIL,il piu' geande sindacato italiano, continua le sue manifestazioni contro le misure di austerita'. Gli investori sono delusi da questi ultimi cambiamenti per placare la gente e il mercato italiano ne' puo' risentire. Gia', i Buoni del Tesoro sono scesi a livelli minimi delle ultime quattro settimane.

URAGANO IRENE PUO' PROVOCARE DANNI A NEW YORK CITTA'

Le previsioni del tempo puntano nel mirino dell'uragano Irene la citta' piu' popolata degli Stati Uniti. New York sito sulla costa atlantica del Nord Est degli Stati Uniti puo' avere degli impatti seri. La citta' era in stato di preparazione, dice il sindaco Mike Bloomberg, quando ieri c'e' stato una scossa di terremoto che ha scosso la Grande Mela. Storicamente, New York non e' sito in una zona favorevole ad impatti seri da uragani ma ci sono stati certi cha hanno passato di qui dice FPG. Il piu' recente e' stato Gloria nel 1985. I venti hanno provocato danni alla vegetazione e lievemente anche ad abitazioni nella zona di Astoria. Nel 1938, il cossidetto Long Island Express o Labor Day storm ha provocato danni enormi e tanti morti e feriti piu' nel Long Island orientale, la stessa isola che ospita il Queens e Brooklyn nella citta' di New York.

Un terremoto di 5,9 della scala Richter ha interessato il medio atlantico fino alla citta' di New York. In Astoria, solo spavento dice FPG. Fpg pensa che in Astoria, la forza del terremoto era tra i 3.5 e i 4.5 della scala Richter. La Casa Bianca e il Pentagono a Washington sono state evacuate.

DELTA E ALITALIA, PERCHE' VIAGGIARE IN ITALIA?

Uno smarrimento di valigie che e' durato parecchi giorni per due delle tre valigie a bordo di un volo Alitalia precisamente la 611 da New York JFK alle ore 740 pm per Roma Fiumicino. La terza non e' stata ancora trovata. FPG rimprovera la Delta e l'Alitalia per mancanza di sicurezza sulle valigie. Dopo un cambiamento di volo per esser in ritardo, la Delta ha messo i viaggiatori su un volo Alitalia con partenza ben due ore dopo assicurandoli che le valigie sarebbero state messe sul nuovo volo. " Le due valigie sono arrivate oggi a Napoli dopo ben 6 giorni ed erano semi distrutte e manomesse. Il cio' prova che le compagnie aeree non prestano attenzione come si dovrebbe per le valigie dei viaggiatori. Questo significa mancanza di sicurezza elettronica" FPG dice che non vale la pena viaggiare in queste condizioni con prezzi alti e volatili.

TASSA DI CARTA DI CREDITO CON LA MERIDIANA EUROFLY

La Meridiana Eurofly e' l'unica compagnia che fa pagare un servizio uso se pagate con la carta di credito. L'uso della carta di credito impiega un servizio bancario che puo' costare fino al 4,50 percento dice un rappresentante di viaggi. " Con prezzi gia' altissimi, questo costo e' un altro in piu' che non ci vuole in questo momento critico della economia americana." dice un cliente. RISCHIO DI SICUREZZA IN ASTORIA QUEENS NELLA CITTA' DI NEW YORK

Il mese scorso, un commercialista di New York ha ricevuto nella posta, una scatola indirizzato a lui, ma ovviamente appertenente ad un'agenzia del governo federale degli Stati Uniti. La scatola conteneva fino a tre dozzine targhette auto appartenenti alla Homeland Security, l'agenzia che protegge contro il terrorismo. Antonio Guadagnino di Astoria, New York ha chiesto aiuto al senatore di New York, Mike Giannaris che ha iniziato le indagini. Guadagnino ha suggerito piu' controlli per la posta federale per il semplice motivo che se le targhette fossero arrivate alla persona sbagliata, poteva essere una cosa seria.

At the Intrepid Museum on the West Side Seaport in New York City way back in 94, I was able to speak to Mr Fini. I explained to him the necessity for political stability for Italy. That translated in a government that would last the entire term just like here in the United States. As we were tasting the focaccia barese, I handed him a poem " poesia " that described Italy's past and current political situation. I asked him to forward it to Berlusconi. I gave a copy also to Rocco Buttiglione at an earlier moment. I was one of a few people who was able to speak to Gianfranco Fini. I would thank Gary Spampinato, the Intrepid Museum president, for that. Earlier this year, I spoke quickly to Fini once again. This time, it was very difficult because of high security. I reminded him that we had spoken in the past and I had something for Berlusconi once again. This time, it was a " bigliettino da visita " business card. We exchanged a couple of sentences with Fini asking me a question: " E' il figlio di Michael? " I wanted to speak to Fini for a longer time if I had the chance to. As an economist with political views, I like to understand more about this rift between Berlusconi and Fini. Is it mostly personal or political? The blame has been the sex scandals that the premier was involved in. Berlusconi was able to maintain power after the confidence votes earlier this month but he will likely not seek re-election in 2013.

Mount Sinai Queens is sponsoring a health event for men. Titled " Men's Health - Below the Belt " is an event for men over 50. It will take place tonight Thursday October 21st, 2010 at 7 pm. Dr Granato will discuss prostate cancer screening as well as other topics for older men. Carol Weber will be on site to provide information about colorectal cancer. The event will take place at the Pistilli Grand Manor, a condo building located at 45-02 Ditmars Blvd and across the street from the Berry Farm Market Supermarkets in Astoria. The Queens Columbus Day Parade had last minute changes for its starting location. "PC Richards' parking lot gets the okay after Astoria's Studios usual location was not available due to the NYPD's permit unallowance for a specific portion of the route" stated a source. The festivities are annually organized by the Italian-American Societies Federation of Queens County, aka FIAO. The Grand Marshal was Carolyn Maloney. Other local dignitaries like Mike Giannaris as well as italian representatives joined the celebration of the genovese sailor. " As usual, Columbus assisted by Queen Isabella, were waving to the crowd. This is an event for the kids of Queens, with various schools and bands participating" commented one of the helpers to the organizers. The weather with temperatures in the low to mid 70's and lots of sun made the event joyful, even though there was less attendance than previous years. The Queens Columbus Day Parade takes place every year on the Saturday preceding the Monday and legal holiday in Manhattan.

FEDERAL REGULATORS TAKE IN MORE BANKS IN 2010 THAN 2009

* NY REAL ESTATE IS THE BACKBONE OF THE US ECONOMY AS MORE PEOPLE LIVE OFF REAL ESTATE IN NEW YORK

With 125 banks taken over by the FDIC in 2010, we wonder what is happening to the United States Banking system. Last year at this time it was 94banks and we thought that was bad. This is worse and you use calculus, you will feel the marginal propensity of destruction of the free banking system. Larry Kudlow did not want to understand the importance of real estate. When asked the question " Are Americans borrowing too much aginst the value of real estate? " he made up the reasoning that valuations went up and that was okay. He refused to discuss real estate valuations and predictions. So, I asked myself " Who is responsible to answer that question? " A Real Estate broker? He told me that prices are going up and if you don't buy now, you will loose out. A banker? He told me that banks are giving out money and that you need to apply for a loan. A lawyer? He said that he was busy and that he has many closings. An Insurance agent? He said that you need to get insurance just in case something happens to you? A politician? I did not ask since the our chief in Washington answered that during his radio addresses. A seller of a property? After getting his price, he confidentially told me. I am happy what I got but I feel sorry for who bought the property. He is going to work harder than I did to keep up with the payments. An economist like LARRY KUDLOW??? Why didn't Larry understand the problem. From Economics 101 to International Trade to Economic Law to Calculus and Statistics, what was he thinking about Real Estate? He couldn't study the problem. Specializations is okay with Medicine, Teaching or Technical work but not with Economics. If you are a Senior Economist, then you have to be prepared to answer questions from A to Z. Larry apologized in 2008 for his mistakes but it was too late. The economy had gotten a real estate sickness that could last for a long time. Living off Real Estate is nice but eventually you will pay the price if you don't undersatnd the fundamentals of it.

ASTORIA, NEW YORKScary moments for Astoria residents as the sky turned black just before 6 pm last night. A severe thunderstorm zoomed by in a matter of minutes. It spared Astoria's residents from damage but just a few miles away in Corona,Forest Hills, Flushing and Bayside it was a completely different story. Large trees ripped off the ground, damage to homes and vehicles and a fatality on the Grand Central Parkway led to traffic delays for hours on streets in Astoria leading towards Nassau County. Roofs were torned in some Brooklyn areas. Stay tuned to your local news for additional information.

Certe case sono state scoperchiate nella contea di Brooklyn. Un morto sul Grand Central Parkway. Il traffico intenso e' continuato per tutta la serata.

In an article posted on Yahoo,we can learn from some frugal billionaires who save in a very frugal manner, even though they can afford anything. In response to that article, this blogspot of the real economist can explain why some billionaires are so frugal. " The answer is personal character. " said FPG. " Some billionaires come from the old school and that is a plain fact. Carlos Slim of Mexico is the richest one of them all. He is old. He lived in the harsh times after World War II. His mentality is to save to the last penny in order to make more money. He preferred to live in his house of 40 years because it's probably sentimental to him. But he knows that by doing so, he would avoid buying another one at today's market prices, a hefty increase since he bought his first one. " Frugal billionaires may be very price conscious and therefore they hesitate in moving forward if not needed. Why buy a new car if an old one is comfortable and still works well? On the other hand, Silvio Berlusconi is not mentioned in the article. " Berlusconi is probably a good spender. He likes to live the rich life, spending left and right. His spending has caused him problems too. His latest divorce with his wife was because of his spending on young pretty girls as well as call girls." continued FPG.
